Welcome
to Mountain Action
Your Hosts Griff & Emma
We
created Mountain Action for people like us, people that dream of
spending days carving perfect turns in perfect snow and nights talking
and laughing with friends over dinner or just simply relaxing around
the fire. You will find Chalet Chardon Bleu, situated in a small
hamlet just a few minutes drive from St Martin de Belleville in the
heart of the famous 3 valleys "Les Trois Vallees".
Les
Trois
Vallees is the biggest ski area in the world, with over 600km
of pisted skiing and the same again, off-piste.
The area is ideal for ski lovers looking for an authentic village
atmosphere a little apart from the crowds. Clusters of traditional
chalets and original Savoyard farmhouses stand quietly in the
softly falling snow where chamois can be seen in the surrounding
forest.
A
Typical Day
Each day will
start with a hearty breakfast - a chance to stock
up before hitting the slopes!
During the day, you are welcome to ski / board
with us – we
will guide you to the best runs - both on and off piste (skiing
will be pitched at your ability level), find the best snow and help
you make the most of this magnificent ski area. Alternatively,
you may choose to ski with friends or attend ski school lessons – all of which can be booked locally.
We also offer
private tuition for individuals or small groups when we are
not guiding. We often all
meet up at the end of the day in the Piano Bar for a well deserved
cold beer before heading back to the chalet for freshly brewed tea,
coffee or hot chocolate and home made cakes. Then there’s
time to relax and unwind before dinner – the
main event of the evening.
With a table large enough to seat everybody, many happy hours are
spent re-living and reminiscing over the events of the day whilst
enjoying a superbly cooked three course meal with plenty of good
quality local wine. (Full details and a sample menu are available
by clicking Chalet Chardon Bleu, on the main menu.)
After dinner,
if you have any energy left, there are the local bars in Saint Martin
de Belleville but most choose the comfort of
a squashy sofa in front of the fire with a nightcap! |
