Enjoy
high alpine scenery and spectacular views in the Belleville valley,
located on the edge of the protected national park of the ‘Vanoise'.
Wherever you walk, you will be rewarded
with the beauty of the Alps – tinkling cow bells, marmots playing
with their young, a glimpse of a Chamois or the Bouquetin and stunning
alpine flowers.
There are around 100 way-marked
paths in the area – some starting just minutes from our front door
at the edge of the village
Choosing your Season
To
see the fantastic alpine meadows full of flowers, you need to come
in spring / early summer - late May or early June is best.
You can see wildlife and other flowers
all year round, but access to the high mountain pastures is easier
from June to September.
To enjoy the hottest weather and
access to the peaks by Cable Car (this makes it possible to do longer
distances in a day and also enables shorter walks at the top, taking
in the best scenery without the climb!), we recommend July and August.
For amazing autumn colours come
in late October or November – but be prepared for some chilly days!
