Griff initially spent 6 years as an Adventure Training Instructor in the Army, teaching all levels of both alpine and cross country skiing, followed by a number of years as a ski teacher in Aviemore.

​

Griff moved to the 3 Vallées in 2004 and has lived and worked here ever since and has gained dual British and French nationality. He is an internationally qualified IASI Level 4 Instructor with full French equivalence and additionally holds the European Mountain Safety qualification and Canadian Race Coach Level 2, as well as being a fully qualified Cross Country Ski Instructor.
